For me, the drums are always a part of the composition, and never just something that makes groovy noises somewhere in the background. Apart from the actual drum part, other rhythmic elements in a piece are also important and can make a big difference.
But some drum beats are really oversaturated, producers repeat the same rhythms over and over again, and many songwriters struggle to make programmed Midi Drum Parts feel right.

Currently i’m focussing on content for songwriters and composers who aren’t drummers but want to have a better understanding of Drum Parts and Drum Techniques.
